That, my friends, is one of the many daffodils planted around the office complex where I work. The poor things never stood a chance against a foot of snow, and freezing temperatures that are just now seeing it start to melt.
This has officially been the weirdest winter I have ever experienced. It's been freakishly warm and our only real "snow event" hit us a good month after most of the snow is usually over around here. It is decidedly unsettling.
I've also noticed a serious increase in the amount of wind in the last year. I've always lived in a somewhat breezy area, but this year? Nuts! Wind nearly every day and frequently gale-force stuff.
It all makes me wonder what kind of summer we're in for. Yeeesh.
Well anyway, Happy First Day of Spring, which is coincidentally International Happiness Day (and the birthday of Mr. Rogers)! Here, have some bunnies!
