Music is a wonderful balm for your soul. It can lift your mood, help you wallow in a cathartic cry (lookin' at you, Adele. . . ) energize you, or calm the savage breast.
I know, you probably thought the quote was "soothe the savage beast," but you're wrong.
Anyway, for whatever reason, we all have that one song we just can't ever listen to again. It's ruined for us, by association, or by overplay. Mine is in the picture above, and it's Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry, Be Happy."
Its a perfectly wonderful song and a song like that is really good in times like these, but all I can think of is Robin Williams, laughing and dancing and being his silly self, hiding all the unhappiness that plagued him to a tragic end. The song can't be happy for me anymore.
What about you? What song is ruined for you? And why?
