"Girl Rising" - The Movie We All Need To See With Our Daughters

Over the weekend, I went to a movie at Regal Cinemas and since I'm a Regal Crown Club Member, I received a bonus free ticket to a movie titled "Girl Rising". I know nothing about this movie and quite frankly, I assumed it was just some dumb teen movie. I was going to throw the ticket away, but I looked the movie up just in case I knew somebody I could pass this along to.

Thank God I did!

Girl Rising tells the stories of nine extraordinary girls from nine different countries, written by nine celebrated writers and narrated by nine renowned actresses: Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Chloe Moretz, Kerry Washington, Frieda Pinto, Anne Hathaway, Selena Gomez, Priyanka Chopra and Alicia Keys. The film was directed by Academy Award nominee Richard Robbins. Girl Rising showcases the strength of the human spirit and the power of education to change the world.

I am taking my daughter to see it next week, and I encourage you to do the same. Bring your sisters, your mothers, your friends. This is a movie we all should see. It's playing one week only, so SHARE THIS and help me spread the word!!

The trailer is below, and you can go to their website for other theaters that might carry it in your area. www.girlrising.com (scroll down once you're on the page - lots of cool stuff there!).

The stories, the acts of bravery, the smiles!!! I can't wait to experience this with my daughter.
